Product safety
OEKO-TEX STANDARD 100 for restricted substances; GOTS and GRS where the garment carries an organic or recycled claim. Chain-of-custody scope has to reach the garment, not stop at the mill.
Social compliance
Sedex SMETA, BSCI or WRAP, plus the buyer's own audit. Working hours and overtime are the findings that recur in a peak season, and they are the ones buyers escalate on.
Environmental
Higg FEM is read directly by H&M and Inditex. Wastewater from the wash unit is the usual weak point, and it feeds the EU passport's environmental fields too.
